Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 May 2026
The short version: Patch does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Your cycle and log data never leaves your device.
1. Who we are
Patch is an iPhone app developed and operated by Onur Yoruk ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what data Patch handles, how it is stored, and your rights in relation to it.
If you have any questions, you can reach us on X at @OnurYork.
2. Data stored on your device
All cycle and log data you enter into Patch is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's secure on-device storage (UserDefaults). This includes:
- Your patch start date and cycle history
- Log entries (patch applied, replaced, or removed)
- Patch site selections
- Reminder preferences and notification settings
This data is never transmitted to any server, never uploaded to the cloud, and never shared with third parties. It exists only on your device.
3. Data we do not collect
Patch does not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Health or medical data beyond what you log locally
- Location data
- Device identifiers linked to your identity
- Browsing or usage analytics
- Advertising identifiers
There is no account to create. We have no login system and no user database.
4. Notifications
Patch schedules all reminders locally on your device using Apple's notification framework. Notifications are never routed through an external server. No data about when you receive or interact with a notification is collected or transmitted.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Patch offers optional Pro features through an auto-renewing subscription. All payments are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. Patch never sees or handles your payment details.
To manage subscription state across app reinstalls and devices, Patch uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat may store:
- An anonymous device identifier (not linked to your name or Apple ID)
- Your purchase and entitlement status (active, expired, trial)
This data is used solely to determine whether your device is entitled to Pro features. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information in our systems. For details on how RevenueCat handles this data, see revenuecat.com/privacy.
6. Third-party SDKs and advertising
Patch contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no behavioural tracking libraries. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers. The only third-party SDK integrated is RevenueCat, described above.
7. iCloud and backups
Patch does not use iCloud sync. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or your computer, your Patch data may be included in that backup as part of the standard iOS backup process. This is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
8. Children
Patch is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. As described above, we do not collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.
9. Your rights
Because Patch does not collect or process personal data on our servers, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All data you have entered is on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.
If you have questions about data held by RevenueCat (anonymous purchase record), you can contact them directly at revenuecat.com/privacy.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or the App Store release notes. Continued use of Patch after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Questions or concerns about this policy?
Patch is a personal scheduling tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice and does not replace guidance from your doctor, pharmacist, or the instructions that came with your prescription. If you miss a patch change or are unsure what to do, contact a healthcare professional.
